While the focus of the site has been to include content relative to the Battle of Thermopylae, materials will be constantly added that will expand on the history of ancient Greece. One area that has been the source of fascination for many and which will be addressed on this page are the shield emblems (blazons) that were used by the warriors who fought during the Classical Age of Greece.
One such project which has been undertaken and which when completed, will compile a list of 470 shield emblems. All images and texts are courtesy of Nikos Panos and George Heliopoulos whose research has yielded the following, which it is an honor to display on these pages.
